What is Violet Los Angeles?
Violet Los Angeles is a queer-forward swimwear and apparel brand designed and made in LA. We make swimwear for people who want to be looked at — bold cuts, premium fabrics, and a point of view. Our tagline is "Get Wet." Make of that what you will.
Who is Violet LA for?
Queer people, queer-adjacent people, and anyone who finds sanitized fashion exhausting. If you value identity, sex positivity, and clothes that actually say something, you're probably our person.
Why does Violet LA use provocative or reclaimed language in its branding?
Because words that were used as weapons don't belong to the people who threw them. Reclaiming language — especially around queerness and sexuality — is a long tradition in queer culture, and we're not going to sand the edges off it for mass appeal. "Swimwear for Pansies." "Get Wet." If you get it, you get it. If you don't, that's fine too — there are plenty of other swimwear brands out there.

Where are Violet LA products made?
Designed and manufactured in Los Angeles. Not in a factory overseas, not drop-shipped from a warehouse. Made here, with people we actually know.
What fabrics do you use?
Our swimwear is made from 82% Nylon / 18% Spandex with 4-way stretch. It moves with you, holds its shape, and doesn't quit when things get wet.
How do I care for my swimwear?
Hand wash cold separately after each wear. Non-chlorine bleach only. Line dry. Don't iron it. Don't store it wet. Treat it well and it'll return the favor.
How do I choose my size?
Check our size guide — it lives on every product page. When in doubt, the most important fit factor varies by style, so read the fit notes on each product. They're there for a reason.
What is the fit like — is it true to size?
It depends on the style. Some pieces are adjustable and size matters less. Others are more structured. Each product page has specific fit notes — we wrote them so you'd actually read them.

Everything we make is small-batch and drop-based, so restocks aren't guaranteed. We do revisit popular designs in future drops, but nothing is promised. If you see something you want, the move is to get it.
